Nature has healed: Roslindale Chinese buffet is back

Inside the buffet

Buffet today.

Flaming Grill and Buffet on American Legion Highway (in the Stop & Shop mall) re-emerged today in its true nature as a Chinese buffet.

With buffets being outlawed because of the pandemic, the owners turned the large space into one of those Cajun shaken-seafood places, but now that things are settling down, fans of eating food in bulk can once again load up at the buffet tables, as they had earlier been doing since it opened in 2017. Note: You'll still need a mask to approach the altars of mass quantities.

The move means the Roslindale/Hyde Park area is now down to just two seafood-in-a-bag eateries - Shaking Seafood on Poplar Street in Roslindale Square and Crab du Jour on Hyde Park Avenue.

This buffet has no ribs! Their chicken teriyaki look like crap!

Sichuan Garden, you are missed. Where else would feed my kids immediately, let them stuff themselves with soft serve after, and give me almost enough time to enjoy whatever the seafood dish was?

I wish they had liquor license, Keno, and scratch ticket machines.

Will the Flaming Grille there open as a buffet also? A short walk from the Blue Line Beachmont stop for us T bound folks.
