The Massachusetts Appeals Court today dismissed a man's gun convictions related to the way he killed a co-worker at a Roslindale garage in 2019 because prosecutors failed to prove he didn't have a gun license, but upheld his conviction for manslaughter, which means he will remain behind bars. The MSPCA reports its trying to find the owner of a severely injured cat that a worker at the Stop&Shop on American Legion Highway in Roslindale found lying in the store parking lot as she left work shortly before 11 p.m. on Feb. 11. Read more.

WCVB reports one person was pronounced dead at the scene after a crash at Blue Hill Avenue and American Legion Highway around 10:45 p.m. on Saturday. A second person was taken to a local hospital, where he died.

Boston Police report eight arrests, dozens of tickets and 19 vehicle seizures and one gun seizure during a weekend series of raids at several locations from Roslindale to Dorchester on Saturday aimed at busting up the large rolling parties of scooters, ATVs and speaker-equipped and booze-filled cars that have become a regular event across the city.
