Police hunt bathrobe-wearing desperado in Cambridge package heist
By adamg on Fri, 12/10/2021 - 11:57am
Cambridge Police have released surveillance video of a man breaking into a Memorial Drive apartment building and making off with packages while wearing a purple bathrobe - after first trying to figure out how to use a traffic cone to prop open a door with just one hand since he was clutching a ciggie in the other.
Police say the package purloining happened back on Oct. 30, although nobody reported it to police until later in November.
If you know a man unafraid to go out in public in a purple bathrobe over pajamas or a clown outfit and who drives a dark-green hatchback, let the Cambridge PD know at 617-349-3300.

Our out an APB on the Golden Girls.
Looks like one left the apartment.
in the clearing stands a boxer
and a fighter by his trade.
And he's wearing the reminders
Of every box he's stolen
and emptied til he cried out in his utter lack of shame
I am wearing what I'm stealing
But porch pirate still remains, still remains
LMFAO
That is all.
That's a nice
Unusually clear shot of his face. Security cam footage usually looks like it's gone through the garbage disposal. Twice.
Leisurely Larceny Larry,

What the heck is that on his cheek? Strange people out there. Face in the camera, smiling. Wants to go to jail.
Very strange
In a world wear they are demanding that you cover your face, it takes a special type of brainiac to expose his bare face during a crime.
I am a purple bandit

I thought we outlawed face
I thought we outlawed face recognition of criminals.

Not by humans.
In the ensemble...
Bunny slippers are clearly appropriate
I find myself on the planet Ogo.
Are you also divergent, friend?
Duuuude
Could this guy possibly look more stoned?
Nice, this is so he’ll be
Nice, this is so he’ll be able to establish a basis for an insanity plea at his trial.
As my friend on the Brookline PD used to say:
... "In spite of the end of the Space Shuttle program and the resulting cutbacks and layoffs at NASA contractors, surprisingly few of the people committing low level street crime are actual rocket scientists."
