One dead in three-alarm fire on Perthshire Road in Brighton
The Boston Fire Department reports firefighters responded to 34 Perthshire Rd., off Bigelow Street in Brighton at 12:30 a.m. for what turned into a three-alarm fire.
One resident was found dead, the department reports.
Another resident and two firefighters were taken to the hospital with injuries. Nine other residents were displaced.
One resident had to be rescued from a second-floor roof.
The cause of the fire, which started in the rear of the building, is under investigation.
