Wayward wood stork winds up in Woburn

Wood stork in Woburn

Wood storks are not normally found north of North Carolina, but this young one wound up at Horn Pond in Woburn yesterday.

Mary Ellen went up today to take a look - and while she was watching it (from afar, with a zoom lens), somebody came to take it to a wildlife rehab center, with the goal of getting it back south, since it wouldn't survive one of our winters.
