Boston Police report that Joe Martinez, a BPD officer since 2008, was arrested today in Norwood on charges of possession of child pornography, posing a child under 18 for nude photos and secret sex surveillance of a nude person under 18.
Following his arrest by police in Norwood, BPD put Martinez on administrative leave, police say.

Reading the headline I thought there was a silver lining to this story; BPD is starting to publicly report criminals among the organization. Then I saw that the arrest was made by the Norwood PD so may be it was not as easy to hide it?

Ironic considering how much fighting there is over residency for police. If Boston had a lifelong residency requirement he would have been living in West Roxbury where his buddies could have covered up for him.
Cops from other cities may be willing to help out a brother cop for many reasons but when crimes involve kids loyalty tends to fade fast.

this is laughable
because "continue to" implies that they have ever held their officers to "the highest standards"..
or do you need a reminder..
