In the dawn mist along the Charles River at Millennium Park this morning, Mary Ellen spotted a black crowned night heron, a couple of mallards and a great blue heron.

Mary Ellen has quite the eye. This photo reminds me of a paint-by-numbers painting from back in the 1960s when that hobby was a big deal.

I've never seen those lava fountains at Millennium (shown here in the upper left). I'll have to wander over and check it out!
