If you think
bars and restaurants lost money during the pandemic you are an idiot.
Save this picture for the spring when these whiners want outdoor seating again.
They lost money before the pandemic
When they overspent on cars, houses, and trips for themselves.
Bar owners are no less consumerist than anyone else...sometimes to their ultimate detriment.
Oh no not outdoor seating!!!
Oh no not outdoor seating!!! Those monsters!!!
In all seriousness, not all restaurants are the same. Some may have done ok, others not so much. Even a line isn't telling the full story. If your number of seats is restricted that could cause a line too...
I'm not against restrictions for health reasons but I think outdoor seating and other similar accomodations are a win win. As a consumer I'd rather eat outside and may feel this way for a while. We all experience trauma like this differently and my experience is I'll sit outside any chance I get and most likely will do so for a few years. I'd love to see the businesses get those seats back this year and next come spring.
You’re either the owner
or a hypocrite. What difference is it if you have a car, a space saver or Blue Bikes on a public street?

I can't speak for bars and restaurants, but I do know that liquor stores remained one of the most successful businesses all through pandemic. And drug dealers.
The same losers
who waited in line here on Christmas Day. Please get a life.
Seems like they do.
they're out having a few drinks with their friends, having fun. unlike the angry person commenting while sitting at home.
what's your problem here? they're obviously vaxxed per the city mandate.
I disagree
Anybody who stands in a long, long line to get into a bar, blizzard or otherwise, is wasting life rather than living it.
But
If they're having a good time, why do you care? They're not hurting you, are they?
Good, good
Let the Libertarianism flow through you.

Wow. How many bartenders were working?

Going out to a bar in a snowstorm is always a good time. Everyone is happy, happy, happy. The storm adds some magic sauce to the night.

Have you no capacity for pity?
He got sold a false bill of goods as a teenager by unscrupulous adults.
