Pulitzer Prize-winning local historian dies at 89

AAAUUUUUGGGGHHHH!

Well, not for him. May he rest in peace.
...but for us, to have lost him.

"As an historian, he paints with words," the citation read. "Giving us pictures of the American people that live, breathe, and above all, confront the fundamental issues of courage, achievement, and moral character."
