Dorchester man with long criminal record charged with Jamaica Plain murder

Boston Police report arresting a Dorchester man yesterday on charges he shot Dante Webb to death on Forest Hills Street on July 18.

Police say officers arrested Dequann Whyte-Cohen, 31, yesterday on Hyde Park Avenue in Forest Hills.

On Aug. 25, 2022, police arrested him on Centre Street at Harris Street after finding him in possession of a loaded handgun. Among the charges: Unlawful possession of a firearm, fourth offense.
