… not only to get from one place to another but also as a inexpensive alternative to a harbor cruise. Especially nice late in the day when you can see the skyline back lit by the setting sun.

And the Wynn ferry is free although it can be crowded if you time it wrong.
They "expect" you to go to the casino so don't tell them you're only it for a cruise but you've got no obligation to actual go into the building. I've taken the ferry with my bike from Boston and just ridden home from there. It's scenic and the ferry staff is friendly.
