Eversource reports roughly 780 customers - businesses, homes and multi-family buildings - along Centre Street in Jamaica Plain lost power around 10 a.m. due to "equipment damage."
The company estimates restoration by 1:15 p.m.
Shortly after 10 a.m., a resident of the Forbes Building, 545 Centre St. reported:
Constituent states he has no power and it's s 150 unit bldg, lots of elderly, and people are on oxygen. The elevator isn't even working.
On June 16, more than 3,000 customers lost power along Centre and South Huntington Avenue.

Tangential, but I would've assumed a 150-unit apartment building would have on-site emergency backup power. Is that not a standard thing?
