The Orange Line is wicked slow, in case you need to know
By adamg on Wed, 01/25/2023 - 9:31am
The MBTA says the Orange Line is experiencing delays of up to 15 minutes due to, no, not just because they don't have enough trains, but also due to "track maintenance" in Malden. Some riders, though, wish it were just 15 minutes.

Sounds like a normal day on the Red Line
Maybe the Red Line doesn't have a "reduced fleet" like the Orange Line, but we have the dreaded "slow zones". They pop up everywhere. Rapid transit does not exist on the Red Line. Parts of the Red Line are closed almost every weekend for track work, but nothing seems to get better.
I was on the inbound train at Oak Grove
Operator told us it was a "power issue", then we stopped between Malden Ctr and Wellington due to someone being "in the pit" at Wellington.
Don't worry though, we still got to experience the dead zone between Assembly and Sullivan Sq.
They knew it was coming
I was on an OL platform in the 8am hour, and there were two employees at a station talking about how there was an issue (I believe they said someone threw something on the tracks) but they couldn’t fix whatever problem that caused until after 9. Also there was allegedly a power surge at Haymarket at some point this AM that we’ve been told nothing about.
The MBTA is so bad at communications that I have to get my info by eavesdropping on employee conversations being had in public.
Sections of the Orange Line and…
…. the Green Line will be shut down this weekend for work that was supposedly finished this fall.
Same old, same old.
You declare victory
and get out of town as fast as you can.
Yes, same old.
Shock of shocks that the MBTA
Shock of shocks that the MBTA leadership continues to lie to the public about what they're doing.
