Handmaid snapped both ends of the city's largest Christmas bow, on the Flour and Grain Exchange building on Milk Street downtown.

Central Artery Nostalgia
I remember how that giant bow would be right at the level of the elevated central artery for the holidays. It was an impressive landmark, and those in cars would get a great view of it nearly hanging over the roadway because traffic never moved very fast along there.
My niece always insisted that her dad drive through Boston instead of around it (NH to Abington) so she could see the giant bow.
Did they have "Branding" on
Did they have "Branding" on the Giant Bow back then @SwirlyGrrl? It seems like everything is monetized now.
In the '90s?
Of course they did. It was the usual "Seasons Greetings from ...". I don't remember if it was a little sign, a package tag, or on the bow itself.
