Man threatened with pitchfork in Wellesley apartment-building incident
By adamg on Mon, 07/29/2024 - 2:26pm
Wellesley apartment buildings are apparently equipped with pitchforks in case some hay needs some pitching. The Swellesley Report reports (scroll down) that two men got into a verbal tiff in a local building when one grabbed a small pitchfork that just happened to be sitting there and threatened the other with it. The man then refused to answer his door when police came a-knockin', so they issued a summons to appear in court.

Zombie Defense
Wellesley is a member of the MetroWest Zombie Defense Task Force. As such all multi-unit dwellings in Wellesley are supplied with pitchforks in case of contagion. Single-family residences can qualify for their own pitchforks through the MWZDTF kiosk staffed weekends at the Wellesley RDF. Recently the town celebrated over 23 years Zombie Free!
Yikes...
And also the situation with the poor rideshare guy being suspected of trying to get an underage guy into his car.... he must've thought his life was over ...
Who Knew???
The biggest part of this story was totally overlooked.
Who knew there were apartment buildings in Wellesley? I thought renters violated zoning there. Imagine the horror?
A fair number ...
Clustered along Washington Street - low-rise buildings, not anything like what you'd see in, oh, Boston.
Things have changed a lot since I had anything to do with news in Wellesley, but at one time, they made up a sort of Democratic island in what was then a heavily Republican town.
There's also the town's one low-income housing project, but don't worry - the town found a piece of land for that along 128 nowhere near the rest of the town.
Sounds like a potential scene
Sounds like a potential scene from a horror movie.
