Moodini truther says steer may not have traveled much, but did make it to the top of controversial wooded hill
When Boston Animal Care and Control said last week they have found Moodini the Roslindale Steer, they said he was out back of the Walgreens off American Legion Highway near Crane Ledge, the wooded hill a Texas developer wants to blast to kingdom come to put in an apartment complex.
But one nearby resident says he has proof Moodini didn't just hoof it to the top of the hill - he spent considerable time on it, and he has proof in the form of photos of lots and lots of cow patties:
Our free ranging steer was hanging out (camping and grazing) on the Jubilee Church Crane Ledge Woods properties below the Clarendon Hill Senior housing community. I have photo documentation of what I am stating here. His deposits are spread all over the open meadow (wildflowers and grasses) northeast of the old roadway where he grazed. He probably bedded down at night in the woods (where he was penned in-photo), before his removal as the final 'squatter' on the Crane Ledge Woods properties. He had plenty of vegetation to graze on and sources of surface rain water to drink for his two months of nature freedom.
I just read your recent comment on his location and wanted to clarify the facts as evidenced on the ground. And the ground work to bring him out of the woods is quite evident as well. (Accessed from the gate/ fence between the Senior community and Jubilee Church parcels along the old roadway.) No vehicle access from ALH and the lower roadway is in terrible washed out condition.
Ed. note: Ye ed trusts the correspondent took photos of cow patties and trusts the reader can picture what they look like.

Sort of sad. Is there
Sort of sad. Is there natural wetlands nearby if he was thirsty? Probably encountered a curious deer or two. And more than likely stood his ground against coyotes which knew it wasn't an outdoor cat. This guy deserves a life of the kindness and peace he was fighting for. Just like all of us
There’s land in Texas and it
There’s land in Texas and it’s flat to boot, no need for blasting the character out of the landscape.
So the cow hid out in the second growth tangle of invasives
What is their point, exactly?
