Hopefully brain injury was minor, but let's hear for the city hall press release for a definite diagnosis.

Seriously?
Wow. Just wow.
Surprised
I am actually surprised more of these accidents don't happen. I see a lot of Moped drivers driving just as recklessly as the bike riders do. If I want to cross the street and I see one coming, I wait, because I am 99% sure they won't stop for a red light.
FTFY
Massholes all the way up and down - but somehow "cyclists/bike riders" are the problem when its the reckless car and truck drivers making up their own rules (including running red lights) who amp up the body count on the regular.

Washington St
From Forest Hills to the top of the hill seems especially dangerous for pedestrians and small vehicles. How many serious accidents have we heard about the last few years?
Abstract vs concrete
When it’s all an abstraction, and you’re fed up with the constant low-level lawlessness and unaccountability that gig workers on motorbikes represent, it’s easy to get your swagger on and talk about how maybe it would be good for a few more of them to get splattered so the rest might wise up a bit…. But then there’s the image of this person’s mother crying her self to sleep at night for the rest of her life, inconveniently getting in the way of a good moralizing rant.
