Thar she blows, again: For second time in a month, major neighborhood road flooded at rush hour, this time in Jamaica Plain
Centre Street at Allandale Street in front of the main entrance to Faulkner Hospital was shut and large parts of Jamaica Plain lost water after a Boston Water and Sewer Commision main burst around 5 p.m.
BWSC acknowledged the problem but did not specify a cause.
However, National Grid workers have spent much of the past several weeks doing repair work on their gas mains at the intersection.
On Sept. 17, a National Grid crew doing repair work along Dorchester Avenue in Peabody Square hit a BWSC water main, creating a lake that shut the square next to the Ashmont T station at rush hour and causing issues on the Red Line that continued for a couple of days, because the T had to send inspectors along the tracks to ensure all that water didn't do any damage to its tunnels and electrical and signalling systems.

A few condos on the Arb side
A few condos on the Arb side and Moss Hill colonials do not form a large part of JP, no matter how highly they think of themselves. Where else was the water shut off?
Faulkner Hospital had issues
And the Boston Fire Department reported issues up by Pond Street.
