Boston cop charged as drunk driver after crash on VFW Parkway in Brookline

Brookline.News reports on the two-car crash on VFW Parkway near Bonad Road Saturday evening after which the off-duty BPD detective allegedly played the "do-you-know-who-I-am" card and screamed at a responding state trooper to "shut the fuck up" when the trooper tried to read him his Miranda rights.

six month suspension of license with possible hardship exception, driver alcohol education classes, then dismissed. Maybe some community service or written apology for the ranting.

The BPD will require more alcohol treatment and monitoring for him to keep his job.

Sorry, your punitive instincts will not be satisfied.

He bragged to me about how when another neighbor told him she’d report him if he continued driving the wrong way down our alley, he laughed and told her to try it and see what happens.
He was such a dick in so many ways.

Staties account for like 80% or more of DUI arrests in the Boston courts. He should have known that, and taken Centre Street or Washington Street.

Drunk bpd officer is endangering everyone else on the road, is a horrible drunk asshole, but sure, thoughts and prayers to this dangerous loser. Also the staties only showed up after he’d drunkenly rearended another driver — shouldn’t you suggest that Officer “do you know who I am” just drive off next time?” Lord, have higher standards for these bums who are given guns and allowed to use force in the name of the law.

He told the staties that he was at the Bruins game. That's what he had seen lately. And they won, so how is that a crisis?
