Funny this should be posted as only a few minutes ago I spotted a Carolina Wren at my suet feeder who was missing a foot. It still had two legs but just the single foot.
It seemed to be doing OK, all things considered. I'm curious when that calamity occurred or if it was perhaps hatched that way.
