Crap

As you might expect, Citizens Connect this morning is filled with reports from Allston/Brighton, Fenway, Mission Hill, Beacon Hill and that bit of Roxbury along Columbus Avenue about student leftovers clogging up the sidewalks. But so far, only one concerned citizen has reported a lobby filling up with Allston Christmas remains, in this case, the lobby of 1152 Comm. Ave. in Allston:

This is a fire hazard, trash is blocking hallways and elevator exit. Trash is also blocking landings in stair wells.

UPDATE: Bianca, who took the photo, reports the mess was cleaned up last night - but that the hallway promptly began filling up with more stuff.

Wall respect

We headed up to Allston today for some festive Allston Christmas sightseeing. Saw the usual sights (see below), but also this enigmatic structure on Linden Street. Anybody know the meaning behind it?

Good God, Lion!

About the only thing that could improve this coffee table would be a large leg lamp standing next to it.

Will reports from Allston:

Just helped a total stranger load a curb couch into a van. He gave me 3 bucks to buy a beer and then drove away.

From Allston to Beacon Hill, Citizens Connect is filled with complaints of sky-reaching trash heaps, stacks of vermin-infested couches and mattresses, of Nooyawkas daring to park in resident-only spaces as they unload their spawn. A disgusted, sleepless citizen reports a unit in the neighboring building on Cambridge Street in Allston:

Twin Donuts

Greg Hun found the perfect spot to watch the dawn break on Allston Christmas - a window seat at Twin Donuts.

Nickellis14, who moved out of Allston several years ago to escape, well, Allston, reports on the commotion around 4:30 a.m. today on his JP front porch, when a drunken guy started banging on windows and mailboxes when his efforts to simply open the door failed.

He learned, when police arrived, the dude was from Allston's infamous Ashford Street and was unable to explain how he wound up on a Jamaica Plain porch at 4:30 in the morning.

This just in from the Boston Police Department:

A concerned citizen complains today about student crap on Comm. Ave. just outbound from Washington Street:

Early trash put out. Tuesday is trash day.

Yesterday:
Merry Allston Christmas.
