Imagine a Libertarian Joe Kennedy running for Senate

Yes, of course, there's somebody named Joe Kennedy who has nothing to do with importing Venezuelan oil and of course he's running for that Senate seat (he did courteously wait to announce until after JOE-4-OIL took his name out of contention).

I wonder how many...
...elders are going to vote for him just because of the last name. Srsly.

Not The First Non-Kennedy Kennedy
I've read that while the famous John F. Kennedy was Senator, then President, someone named John F. Kennedy managed to get elected Massachusetts state treasurer. And when I worked in Lowell, a gentleman there named Edward Kennedy ran for and was elected to the Spindletown City Council.
Joe Kennedy would be a blessing in disguise...
Joe Kennedy winning as an independent is the best thing that could happen to US politics nationwide. He is against the occupation of Iraq and Afghanistan, and against the drug war. He favors an audit of the federal reserve. He is owned by no special interest.
What's not to like?
If you're in love with the two-party system, then by all means, vote Demopublican, for Martha Coakley or Brown, and business as usual. (Spineless and ineffective Republicans who don't oppose overspending as usual, and Democrats who revel in it). If you're an American patriot who understands that the result of the Boston Massacre resulted in the world's first free nation, with freedom of speech, and freedom of religion, and freedom of all to access the ballot, then vote for Joe Kennedy.
