Wrong metro columnist takes buyout

Adam Reilly reports that Eileen McNamara is taking a buyout and leaving the Globe April 1; will teach fulltime at Brandeis.

Just curious, since I wouldn't mind seeing any of the 3 Globe local columnists take a buyout. McGrory is boring, Walker is really boring, and McNamara was so far left that you could predict her columns before she wrote them.

We have bloggers who can enlighten and entertain us by relating their experiences in fascinating detail of riding the T, reflecting at the gym, pondering firm produce at Whole Foods and listening to trust-fund carpenters from Jamaica Plain search for politically correct rhymes for Nantucket. Blah, blah, blog.....
