The MetroWest Daily News reports that a Framingham woman and three girls are charged with beating a fourth girl into unconsciousness at the Natick Mall:
... Several stores emptied and dozens of people watched as the group beat and stomped the girl near the Dunkin' Donuts and Piercing Pagoda, police said.
"This was an absolute group beat down," said Grassey. "It's an extremely unsettling event. The level of violence in this defies logic." ...

See?
This is what you get when you name your mall "The Natick Collection." Folks don't know what the hell that means, so they decide it's an arena for fighting or something.
The Natick Arena
"It was a horrific event," said Grassey. "It's the type of thing you hear about happening on the street, not inside a mall. This was an exhibition of violence in a place where people just wanted to shop."
If this was just an exhibition ...
when does the regular season start? Will they sell tickets?
A spectator sport
Not getting involved is the central story of almost all such beatdowns, be it people being attacked and beaten on relatively full T trains or suburban shopping mall full of people who were fully capable of mobbing up to restrain these jerks and didn't.
Nice work folks. You didn't get involved. The code of silence ain't just for Charlestown anymore!
I find that more shameful than the parent getting involved in a public beating, personally. Kudos to the ONE person who tried to help.
Must have been from out of town.
rolling stones song goes here
So if this fight happened on the street outside the mall, it'd have been okay?
There's a Mother of the Year
There's a Mother of the Year candidate right there.
natick mall rumble
ive just returned from natick and ive got a wonderful collection of cuts and bruises.and i thought i had to wait until christmas to see some violence at the cambridgeside galleria.heres a question, if you tell a mall cop about one of these fights are you snitching?
Your call.
A rumble at the Natick mall? Not a real rumble, imo.
Now now, just because it
Now now, just because it didn't involve two dancing gangs, starcrossed lovers, and a score by Bernstein and Sondheim doesn't make it not a real rumble.
