Jeff Tamagini took in the St. Agrippina Feast in the North End this weekend and captured, among other things, one of the marching bands. Paul Keleher was there, too, and also had his camera out, so he could show us a vendor that probably doesn't want you staring at the goods too long:

Figured it was one of the annual festivals. I heard all the firecrackers from the Greenway -- where I also successfully used the free wifi to catch the last moments of the Red Sox win on my iPod.
Also on the Greenway, I noticed signs about how if you leave food around, you're feeding rats. The signs are needed around the TD Garden. As I rounded the back side heading to the river, about 50 feet of sidewalk had corn kernels spread around. Some birds were picking at them, but I'm sure there would be plenty left for rodents.

Not to sound like the Church Lady or something, but was that sign necessary? I like obscenities as much as the next Bostonian (perhaps even more) but I mean it's ostensibly a religious festival with families and whatnot. And the beauty, art and joy of swearing is in finding just the right moment, word and tone to embellish the experience -- whether being cut off in traffic, smashing your thumb with a hammer or talking about the Red Sox. Maybe I'm just more disappointed with the minor league lack of sophistication of this particular instance. Also I'm sick of that fat sack of shit Guy From Boston making us all look like a bunch of retrograde pottymouths (his 15 minutes expired right?).

Agreed. I wouldn't take a cannoli from this clown if it were free. But then I guess he isn't trying to see them to me, is he?

Why would I want to buy a bunch of flaking cannoli? I'd rather have one that wasn't going to fall apart right away.
