Warren Street murder victim was mother of four

Tahitia Milton A source reports the woman gunned down at a Warren Street convenience store on Saturday was Tahitia Milton, 39, a 1989 graduate of Cathedral High School scheduled to get a bachelor's in human services at Springfield College next year.

According to her Facebook page, Milton leaves behind two daughters and two sons.

The Herald reported today that somebody walked into the Quick Stop at 338 Warren St. with an AK-47 and opened fire. Milton was pronounced dead at the scene. The store's owner staggered next door to a chicken place but is expected to survive.

Someone has removed all of her children information on Facebook. However, one that she previously listed still lists her as a parent. Then again, they list a lot of "siblings" in a way I've seen my younger cousins do it as a sort of fake family/best friends list...so maybe all of that "family" information is simply incorrect. It's hard to tell here.

SHE WAS A MOTHER OF TWO SONS AND TWO DAUGHERS, THEY WERE MY NIECES AND NEPHEWS. FAMILY DOESN'T HAVE TO BE BLOOD BY THE WAY, BUT THE INFORMATION IS CORRECT.

I heard it was an SKS rifle, not an Ak-47, that was used in the shooting.......

Saw the name...sounded familiar....then I remembered her from many years ago when I worked in Swampscott for the public schools there.

I just remember a sweet little girl with a very supportive mother.

R.I.P.

I use to live next door to Tahitia when I was younger and from what I remember of her, she was a beautiful person inside and out. It’s so unfortunate that something so tragic happened to such a lovely person. I truly hope that they find the person responsible.
