Plow drivers are being mean to Pete Bouchard
By adamg on Fri, 12/17/2010 - 10:31pm
After the computer models changed, again, and weatherfolks said we were no longer facing another perfect storm, the Channel 7 weatherman tweeted:
Let's see ... been called a moron, goat, loser ... all in one night. (Plow guys are a little bugged.) And winter hasn't even started!

Well, maybe weatherman should
Well, maybe weatherman should not focus on 2 foot snow dumping storms when they're 6 days and 1800 miles away?
I mean has anyone ever seen the models for a Tropical storm just off the coast of Africa? (Well the weatherman has... "It could even his New England!")
People get mad when you're hyping and creating news, especially when your job is to report it, not editorialize it.
Better Yet
Maybe the local plow jockies should stop getting their weather info from the local "news" stations on radio and TV, and go to one of the many sites that have much more exact information from the National Weather Service?
If boat crews can manage this, plow jockies should be able to click through.
How About The Convenience Store Owners?
If the plow drivers are pissed, how do you think the convenience store owners feel? They ordered extra milk, eggs and bread!
This is bad news indeed
If the plow drivers aren't needed this weekend to dump four inches of salt on one inch of snow, how on earth is every town's snow-removal budget supposed to be blown out by January 10th??
