Think about the children! Hire one as a Fox 25 reporter!

Fox 25 News salivates as it reports on the horror that is a condom billboard across from a Catholic school - only mentioning at the very end that, you know, school's out for the summer and all.

Next up: Channel 25 reports that Catholic children might see the very same ad on the T! And then, in an exclusive report, Channel 25 reports that Catholic children might see the very same ad in a Channel 25 report about the very same ad!

I saw the report this morning, and it seems to me that the point was the sign is across from a Catholic ELEMENTARY school. Ya know, little kids running around and all. Doesn't seem like the best place for an ad for condoms.

School isn't in session and, as the reporter added at the last minute - the sign will be down before school starts.

Is this ineffective drivel http://www.pureloveclub.com/

Rubber rings like that are scientifically proven to be vastly more effective at preventing pregnancy and STDs than chastity rings (which seem to encourage both unprotected and promiscuous behavior according to recent studies, because they encourage a "oops I did it again" mind set rather than a "I ought to think about it" mind set.

blahblahblah: same old b.s.
there is nothing BUT SEX ED nowadays. Kids should be kids, not made into little adults. THEY ARE CHILDREN. THIS IS NOT FOR THEM! I am really beginning to understand why parents want to keep their kids inside and not ever let them out. And, keep away from mine, 'anonymous'. This society is about one inch from total collapse due to this kind of thinking. I'll decide what's best for my children...and huge condom ads are not it. And, I doubt they will affect any of the junkies and dirtbags screwing around now anyway. Waste of time. P.S. Let me get this straight: smoking is bad and there's zero tolerance for it in the schools, but sex is cool 'cause you know, they can't help it and have to give in? Throw a condom at them-that's the ticket! God help us!!!!

So, do you also advocate not teaching kids how to drive because they might just drive too fast if they understood how to control a car? Do you not teach them how to properly cross the street in case they get any ideas of being independent adults some day? Not teach them to cook and to take care of their personal hygeine because they might actually eat tasty food or find bathing enjoyable? I suppose we should ban hard hats while we are at it.

Do you still keep your kids in diapers, too?

Parents like you are or will be are the same ones who wonder why their kids can't seem to grow up, make good decisions, or why they take wild unnecessary risks borne of extreme ignorance willfully foisted upon them by idiot parents who can't understand the difference between "protecting and sheltering" and "enlightening and engendering rational self sufficiency"

My kids will have their own bodies and sexuality for many long years after they leave my care. My job is to prepare them to express their sexuality in a manner that is ethical and safe. I have no illusions that denying them solid knowledge of self protection that has been scientifically validated will magically turn them into ceremonial virgins. I expect them to have sex someday, and I plan to prepare them for that eventuality. To do otherwise would make me a lazy, ignorant, and superstitious fool.
