Channel 5 news helicopter makes unscheduled landing on Boston Common

Nobody hurt in emergency landing in an open area by Beacon and Charles streets, the Boston Fire Department tweets. A pilot and videopgrapher were on board.

I think Channel 5, needs to brighten up the paint scheme on the chopper to match the energy level of it's news production. Perhaps some translucent glitter that has no weight?

Glad no one was hurt.

Here's a link that mentions earlier traffic reporters, including Chip Wittemore, who was killed in a crash (I think in the mid-70's)
