I just deleted what I thought were a bunch of spammy comments on posts. They weren't. What I actually did was delete all the real comments from about 6:30 p.m. yesterday until just now. Of course, I have no backup (the last one was from earlier in the evening). My apologies for the stupidity.
A request: If you get e-mail notices of new comments, and you haven't deleted the ones from 6:30 p.m. on, could you forward them to me? I can re-add those. Thanks.

That would probably be why it was telling me there were 18 comments under the Friday MBTA guffaw when there is only 1.
And about half those comments ...

Were about the incompetence of whoever ran the MBTA Web site. Guess I know where I won't be applying for a job.
Managed to retrieve some of the comments from Google cache, but they were still missing some, so, again my plea: If you got any e-mail notices about comments here between 6:30 p.m. and roughly 10 a.m., send 'em in. Thanks!
Thanks a lot

I just accidentally wrote Don Quixote in comments and you deleted it. Thanks a bundle.

I had a comment window open when the solution to P v nP came to me, so I typed it in. Then I took a nap and woke up not recalling the key steps.
Tell me about it

I'd stupidly posted the basics of a faster-than-light drive as a solution to the T crisis as a comment, and now I can't remember half the equations.
