Delays again this morning: Dead trains, dead signals, but, hey, at least no live snakes.
Ditto for the Newburyport/Rockport and Needham commuter-rail lines.

At least 2 trains worth of people packed into one very late "express" train at Salem this morning, around 7:45. No lights, no heat, foggy windows, stale air. Every seat taken, every square inch in the aisles occupied. As we enter the dark tunnel to go under Salem, one passenger says, "if the conductors start speaking in German, I'm going to get nervous..."
Not to worry...

...that would mean the trains would have to be running on time, and clearly that's not the case.
I was on that train

You and I must have been right next to each other, because I heard that same passenger. The highlight for me was when we stopped right past Chelsea for 10-15 minutes. No explanation given since there was no power to make any announcements.
When we stopped, I debated

When we stopped, I debated rallying the other passengers in the car to all start stomping our feet rhythmically until we got the attention of the crew, so they would tell us wtf was going on... STOMP. STOMP. STOMP. STOMP. If we had a car full of people doing that simultaneously I think someone would show up....
I know for a fact

that all T employees wear earplugs. How else can they keep hearing our repetitive complaints without going crazy.
