. . . for double parking for literally 5 minutes outside of the mercantile wharf building UPS store when I had to drop off a package to be shipped. Gonna pay it- but- give me a break- snow mounds 5 feet high on either side of the street- snowed in cars everywhere- no where to park . . . I don't know- maybe there could be some easing up on parking tickets in this kind of weather? Big topic- with a lot of viewpoints- and I get that if "everyone" just parked for 5 minutes . . . but . . . come on!
. . . it's a 45 buck ticket- and I'd probably end up wasting as much if not more in time contesting it. If it were a hundred bucks? Yeah- might find the time to contest.
Or was it a ticket the officer placed in his windshield himself, to make it *look* like he was accountable. This is the regular window dressing outside Center Plaza by the courthouses.
So when the trooper doesn't pay the ticket, does the City of Boston slap a non-renewal status on MSP reg. #637, even though state and municipal plates have been exempt from renewal since 1975? Seems like a waste of a ticket, the meter maid's time, the computer used to issue it, the person in the office that must process it, etc.

You may want to look into the actual regulations. I know in some cities, double parking for "expedient deliveries" are legal. Not sure about Boston.
Thanks but . . .

He should have waited

Did he actually read it?
