Usually, very prominent in this kind of story, is the eye-popping contract number.
Somehow, Serverino and his agent didn't mention what this AM powerhouse (signal has reached as far as Newton during certain atmospheric conditions!) is paying. Or duration of contract. So, it's gotta be more than pathetic.
Kind of makes you think that he's working for the bare minimum, or almost on spec. As in, increase our drive time audience from 100 to 150 listeners, and we'll pay your ISDN fees.

You bring up a valid point. I can't imagine Clear Channel ponying up large cash for a guy who brought so much heat on his previous employers. I guarantee they got the now desperate Severino for short money with the caveat that if he pulls his old crap, they'll bury him with lawyers.
Of course he could up and move to another market, but who would have him at this point? On a different note, I feel bad for his replacement at TKK, Doug Meehan. A genuinely nice guy who is only keeping that seat warm until Howie Carr can bring his bloated ass and tired act to TKK.

Keep in mind that despite ratings that had trended the wrong way for a long time, the final straw remark was about Severino boasting about how he had bedded almost all of his female college interns. Focus that claim in your mind for a moment and then look at the scary PR photo.
