Eagle-eyed Ron Newman, who actually scrolls all the way down the boston.com homepage, noticed this link today, perhaps written by somebody with even less of a grasp on actual Boston geography than I have.
your writers to other countries. The Back Bay and Beacon Hill have had hugh population increases added by Boston.com and Patch editors who have no idea where the neighborhoods are.
I thought it was quite nice for all of us East Boston residents who care deeply about our southern neighbors (them Rebs) to come on out and fete them. And as you can see in the photo there was an accurate representation of how many of us northerners have warm feelings for hiz honiz stompin' ground. "South of JP??? Jeeziz Keerist, I may as well go to the fuckin Cape!"
Has to be the work of Alpheus Blake, or at least his ghost. He was chief promoter of the Boston, Revere Beach & Lynn RR (today's Blue Line) in the 1800s, and also a real estate developer in Hyde Park (e.g. Blake Estates).

The article was about "overcrowded" Brookline elementary schools but the heading said South Boston. Hmmm.
