Boston Police report the boy was found around 11 p.m. in an elevator at 225 Blue Hill Ave.
He woke up at a local hospital and was able to provide information about his mother, who was nowhere to be found, police say, adding once she does turn up, she'll be charged with child abandonment and child endangerment.

Just heard DCF spokeswoman say, "He is at home with his mother tonight while we conduct our investigation." Mother to be charged with child endangerment, yet child returned home. DCF logic.

He may not have been in his mother's care at the time.
Bad fathers also exist, as do iffy grandparents (remember the guy who was drunk and took his grandkids for a ride and crashed - and the mom turned her dad in?)

and that the 3 year old snuck out and it was the first time he had ever done something like that.
the mom might not be the most responsible, but I don't think the kid needs to be taken away for what might just be an honest one time mistake.
