Time for Belichick to go

There is only so much that genius head coach Bill Belichick can do to make up for the mediocre general manager Bill Belichick. He’s coming up short. He no longer has control of his team. The players pay lip service to his greatness but their weak efforts and lack of discipline betray them. Maybe they feel betrayed, too. If the Patriots are so great, and their coach is so great, why are they so bad?

Since when is 5-2 bad? Yeah, yeah, I know, suspect pass defense, etc etc. Still, I'd rather be a fan of the worse 5-2 team than the best 2-5 team.

Mats (is there more than one?) is dumb.

Last week shouldn't have been a loss. The Buffalo game probably shouldn't have been either. However, we have a soft defense...yet, the defense aren't the ones with any "discipline problem" off the field these days (and they have Haynesworth!).

Last week, the Steelers demolished us on both sides of the ball...and won by a touchdown with a 2-point conversion. If anything really gave us no chance at the end, it was special teams blowing TWO onside kicks and a blown ref call on the swipe-advanced fumble. Otherwise, we went toe-to-toe with the best team in the AFC and came out just one score down. Yeah, time to throw the coach under the bus!

Belichick will always have his haters. Most of them are people who want their coach to be their buddy and shoot the shit over a beer during every interview. Screw that. This guy knows how to do football. Let him do his thing. If you're tired of them "making the playoffs just to lose", go root for the Jags. I hear they have lots of empty seats and I want to go to Gillette for football more often than once every 10 years.

These sort of manufactured money making stories make me mad. They're only written to get page clicks, and stir the pot.
