Emotions run high as man arraigned for September murder in Dorchester

Kendrick Clark of Mattapan was arraigned for murder this morning in a Dorchester courtroom as family and friends of his alleged victim, Shawn Flores, watched.

As relatives gasped and cried, one man stood up in the back of the courtroom and began to yell at Clark:

"He's a bitch!" he yelled as court officers rushed over. "He's an old bitch-ass nigga! You's a bitch! You's a bitch! You's a bitch!" He continued to yell even as the court officers led him out of First Session at Dorchester District Court.

Clark, short, stout, bald and goateed, stood in the prisoner's dock, in a green and yellow striped shirt, his hands manacled.

Clark's actual arraignment was brief: His lawyer did not contest a request by the Suffolk County District Attorney's office to hold him without bail, which meant prosecutors did not have to recite any reasons - such as the details of the crime - for holding him.

Authorities identified Clark fairly soon after Flores was found shot to death on Abbot Street on Sept. 22. He was arrested Monday morning in a motel room in Raleigh, N.C. and has a record that includes armed carjacking, drug trafficking and domestic violence.
