Morticia's future foretold in the shriveled husk of Fester

Mike Ball stood in line at the Franklin Park Zoo yesterday to take a gander at Morticia the Corpse Flower; pauses a moment to ponder the remains of Fester the Corpse Flower.

Suldog left a comment over there:

Thanks for the excellent report, and especially for the Fenster photo. Fascinating.

Morticia's husband was Dickens, not Fenster.

As I recall, Morticia A. Frump Addams' hubby was Gomez. Alas for corpse flower corm namers, Gomez isn't sufficiently icky. However, her brother-in-law, Fester, literally reeks of foul naming.

And Gomez was John Astin, who played Dickens in I'm Dickens, he's Fenster. Fenster was played by Marty Ingalls, who was married to the real-life and TV mother of David Cassidy, who was not related to Lurch, played by Ted Cassidy, who also played Thing.

... I'm leaving a comment.

I have nothing to add. I'm just leaving a comment.

Oh, OK, I have to say I'm a huge fan of both "The Addams Family" and "I'm Dickens, He's Fenster".

Other than that, not much value here. Move along, people.
