A police-union fundraiser's interesting past

Clean Up BPPA did some research into the fundraiser to whom the Boston Police Patrolman's Association paid $260,000 in 2010 (which equals 77% of the revenue she brought in). Be sure to check out the comments on that post for the interesting things people in the house she owns have been up, to as well.

Who Gets 77% Commission?

"2010 BPPA tax form shows a $259,743 commission payment on $336,494 sales (~77%) to Commonwealth Productions, 264 Raynor Street, Whitman, MA.

A Commonwealth Productions in Braintree shows Lisa Hutchinson is manager. Lisa Hutchinson owns, and may inhabit, the house at 264 Raynor Street, Whitman, MA with David Gargano. David was arrested in 2009 during the break up of a heroin ring and listed his address as the Raynor Street house; he was arrested again in 2010 “for uttering false prescription, writing improper prescription and obtaining drug by fraud,” and again listed the Raynor home as his residence. Lisa is still listed as owner.

$260,000 a year is good money.

You might think BPPA could pay less than $250,000 for the $70,000 they keep.

Who arranged the advertising deal with Lisa Hutchinson & David Gargano and does s/he have a relationship that goes beyond this business relationship?

Are the finances of the scholarship program available for review? If it's set up as a non-profit the AG can review the books.

I would think the companies that withdrew their advertising but chose to continue to donate to the scholarship fund would want to know how those funds are being used.

They aren't bigots, they're chumps. That makes me feel much better.

...that commission is getting kicked back to people involved with Pax. I would like to think that these people are so dumb as to allow a 77% of their revenue slip away to a commission, but come on. It's more than just Commonwealth Productions getting paid on this.

For a "quiet town" Whitman is one of the sketchiest places in the Commonwealth. Arsonists, a police force with a history of corruption and racism, heroin, and whatever the hell is going on with this Raynor Ave house and their phony commissions.
