RadioInsight.com reports Clear Channel seems to be turning its AM station at 1200 into an all-yukker - and that this could be related to the "major announcement" that Clear Channel talent Matty in the Morning is making tomorrow morning.

It's Matt Siegel's vanity project. He made the announcement at 8:30am and by 8:45am I was done with that station.
For those who haven't heard, it's 2-3 minute long snippets of stand up and funny things Matty has said to guests. Lenny Clarke was there for the big announcement.
First comedy bit: Dane Cook being misogynist
Second: John Pinette - fat guy at a water park!
Third: A waaay too long and completely unfunny bit from Daniel Tosh
Glenn Beck, Rush and Sean Hannity are way funnier than those guys.
Is that the entire format, all day?

If not, what other programming will it carry? Any chance of reviving or rerunning some old 1930s-50s era radio comedy shows?
That's the entire format

that FNX will become the new right wing radio station in town. This "Harbor 101.7" format seems to be a temporary thing to me, seeing how Clear Channel already has one of those stations here at 104.1.
It would make sense that they'd move Rush,Hannity, Levin, Beck and the rest of those cretins over to FM where the signal would be a lot better than Talk 1200's was.
The old FNX crew on RadioBDC off to a huge start!

off topic, but I must mention how great it was that the old 'FNXers now working Radio BDC (on boston.com) started off the station the Bosstones' "I Want My City Back", and that it was selected by crowdsourcing?! Faith in our city's collective musical taste has been restored!

My apologies, I think I meant the same format as 104.1.
There's already too much comedy on the radio.

I like to laugh as much as anybody, but aren't WRKO and WTTK enough?

With election season in full swing, there will be plenty of material to work with. Kinda makes their job easy... ;-)
