In response to Adam's linking to my post on my lost cat and Suldog's suggestion, here's some information on the adventures of the best damn cat ever to chew up a paycheck:
Abbie the Cat is a 20+ pound longhaired black-and-white tuxedo cat from Somerville who hasn't been seen in his Hall Avenue home since Sunday morning. We think he's hiding out somewhere in the Davis Square / Porter Square area, probably under a porch or a bush somewhere, especially since it's rainy and cold and he was an indoor cat to begin with and our neighborhood strays are a mean bunch of territorial dudes.
Abbie has no collar or tag or microchip, which was a poor oversight on our part all things considered, but now's not the time to dwell on that. He's nearly 11 years old, but looks a very mature 7. He has big eyes and big walrus whiskers, and he's very friendly around people. He also has an appetite of a bear, so he'll probably be looking for people food.
In Somerville we've had people report in sightings of a huge tuxedo cat around Kidder Ave and Highland Road, as well as on Cedar Street near Somerville Ave. There's a similar cat named Phil who's roaming south of Somerville Ave around Beacon Street. I am not sure how to tell the two apart.
If you happen to be around the Davis area and see an uncollared fat tuxedo cat hanging around, please let me know here in these comments or at [email protected]. It may not be Abbie, but we'll know where to try to look. Thank you very much.
(Confidential to anon crank: No, he has not been made into Chinese food yet. He's all fat, no muscle. Wouldn't make good eating. But thanks for playing! Now back to YouTube with you.)

This Monday morning I saw a cat fitting that description between Broadway and Harvard on that street that comes out opposite Willow . It was toward the Broadway end and he skattered skittishly as my bike approached.
You might ask the folk at the pet grooming place on that street if they have seen him and if they could post a flyer for you.
I didn't know the dude you sought was soooo big, or where he was lost. I'd have said something sooner.
Oh wow.

Thank you! It fits his pattern if he's moving up and down in that corridor between Broadway and Highland.
I'll go talk to Stinky's and see, too.
I hope it was him

I just remember thinking "whoh! BIGGG cat!"
I'm used to looking at my big guy Mario LeMiaux, a strapping 15lb dude who usually gets that comment from others, so it was certainly a big tux cat.
Here I sit

Sounds like a gorgeous kitty! I will definitely keep a look out for him. I've seen a cat that fits this description before on Cedar (but it was months ago now, so it may not be the same cat). The cat I saw on Cedar was very friendly and acted like he owned the street. But sounds like there may be two similar cats hanging out on Cedar. Anyway, I will keep a look out and hope he turns up soon!
