I've seen that dog a few times hanging out in that Shaws. Sometimes it is on the back of a scooter...Cute dog !
Hope no one visiting Shaw's
Hope no one visiting Shaw's is allergic to dogs. I thought bringing dogs into places with food was a code violation or forbidden by some law. If the dog poops or leaks, the owner would clean it up. Maybe.
Wow..it only took two comments
before the animal haters showed up.
Maybe
It's you who is the hater. Learn to respect others, I have bad allergies and sure as shit don't want your mutt around food I may eat.
If learning is what you think it is I should do
You'll forgive me if I say that I have far more respect for animals than I do for humans at this point in my life.
Not animal haters, bad behavior haters
At least I am. And I blame the (often) ignorant and obnoxious owners for that behavior, not the innocent and unknowing animal.
Is that so hard to comprehend?
Damn dog nuts with their arguments and rationalizations and excuses.
Just follow the law and common sense and don't impose your dog on other people where you shouldn't.
And for the record, I'd probably love your dog outside of my supermarket.
You?
Not so much.
I once had the pleasure of
I once had the pleasure of watching a guy with a non-service dog getting confronted by the manager, cleaning up his dog's piss, and then getting kicked out of Kappy's.
(Not an animal hater. Just not into excrement in places that serve/sell food.)
(Yes, booze is food.)
No need to worry!
As the self-appointed overseer of all things regarding bad dog (owner) behavior, I can assure you the Prudential Shaw's does not allow any pets inside the store. This dog in particular is often parked (as shown in the photo) in the area where the carts are stored, in the vestibule.
Now if customers at CVS and Starbucks would be as considerate ...
I have to ask, O self appointed overseer of all things dog
If you saw me and my 150 Mastiff doing something you felt (in your role as self appointed overseer of all things bad dog (owner) behavior) was objectionable to you on a personal level, would you address me or the dog with your objections?
I would show no mercy
If you enter into a Starbucks or Shaw's or a movie theater or a restaurant ... I would address you, and ask you what the f- you thought you were doing.
Careful People
We're dealing with a badass here.
If the dog is certified as a
If the dog is certified as a service dog or therapy animal, it is allowed everywhere. Even if it is not "working".
And if it's not...
... it doesn't belong around food. Seriously.
Uh-huh
Bring your papers.
Actually, I just learned
Actually, I just learned recently that folks with service animals are NOT required to carry documentation for their animals. So, a service animal cannot be removed for lack of papers alone. They can be removed if they are disruptive or causing damage, but I've never seen a poorly behaved service animal personally.
Almost
Not quite.
First, a service dog does not need to be certified.
Second, a therapy dog has no special status under the law, and so can be excluded under a "no pets" policy.
It's really always best to refer to the actual law rather than just making stuff up.

Ewok?
No no no, that's clearly a baby Wampa.
I used to see that dog all
I used to see that dog all the time. It's not inside of the Shaw's, but rather in the vestibule where they store the carts.
That dog is OLD though... happy to see he's still kicking.
