I live near Boston and am troubled by the bombing at the marathon finish line. But let us ponder what Mr. Obama's war planes and drones are doing in our name on a daily basis.

I think people are focused on
I think people are focused on the Boston incident and making sure our guests are as comfortable as they can be. We'll ponder Obama later. He's being advised by people with information that we don't have access to and it's likely the news reported from the battlefield is exagerated or distorted.
He's one man against a failing economy, healthcare system, porous southern border, miserable foreign policy, and no obvious experiance with any of them, so you can't blame him, he was elected. If the people wanted someone that knew what he was doing, or stood for something, we'd have someone else. He's a nice guy though.

Comments in bad taste or humor with bad timing can be annoying and/or insulting when you're in shock about events - and people taking advantage of these kinds of events to grind their own particular axes and promote their causes can be distasteful, annoying and worthy of condemnation. I don't find what the anon posted any worse than the jingoistic American flags that a number of people I know knee-jerkily posted up on their FB pages.
A recent Frontline documentary of bombings in Syria made me feel as sick as watching the videos today. While I couldn't relate to the urban landscape, the human suffering was too much. What happened today was so similar AND was someplace that I pass through weekly. The idea that our country could be responsible for similar events via drone strikes (not necessarily in Syria) is something worth mentioning. If people don't want to hear it right at this moment I can understand and sympathize, but so many people don't want to hear about it or brush it off during "normal times," so I can also understand taking advantage of extreme moments like this to try and reach out and connect the two phenomena.
It would be wiser to give it a rest tonight, but recommending the limitation of people's comments is just providing the assholes who did this exactly what they want.

There will be plenty of time for everyone to have a say, and there's plenty of mediums out there to do so.
I expect UHub to be a filter for the best of Boston, and that ain't it. Filters aren't always bad things, especially when they focus, rather than impede. I'd hope Adam sees that, and that this place is a little bit better than what whosefoodies or herald trolls would have.
Although I don't agree with
Although I don't agree with drone attacks in Syria. I don't care what happens in countries like Syria and Egypt where these terrorist groups are actually a faction of government! People deserve the government the get. If your government supports a war with Israel then, then go to war with Israel. If your countries government supports random killings of innocent civilians, then don't think anyone should shed a tear when innocent civilians are killed by accident in your country. These drone attacks are wrong and I still don't see the comparison. I also don't think Obama and the US are targeting random civilians trying to enjoy a family wedding. If this is true what ANON is stating, I think militant groups are smart enough to be able to fight back against the U.S. with propaganda trumped up to a reporter or media outlet with its own agenda in mind.
