I mean, wouldn't any psychic worth her salt be able to predict our invasion?

I guess nobody felt the need to throw the word "alleged" into the description anywhere. But if you can't wait until Monday to get your fill of this brand of bullshit, here's a few of her older chats. boston.com/yourlife/articles/2006/10/31...joann_gerber/

edit: I must apologize. I just realized that she has received the Certificate of Mediumship Proficiency by The Forever Family Foundation. She must be legit.

I see...I see more layoffs and buyouts
in the future of the Boston Globe, as
lame mindless content like this and
articles about cheesemakers replace
actual local reporting...

I can understand why people would be skeptical and think that it is a lot of BS...but I have met Joanne on four different occasions and she has told me things about family that have passed away that she couldn't possibly have made up. And it's not just me...the four parties consisted of 8-12 people each and she was able to connect with their loved ones and give descriptive information, even names. Truly amazing...

When Houdini was in the psychic business,
he used to make sure that he got a good look
at the family bible before the session.
Because at the time, pretty much the entire
family history was recorded in the
first few pages.

"I'm hearing a strong voice...a woman's
voice. She says her name is Alice.
Did you have a relative named Alice,
died of the Spanish Flu about 1918?"

"My Grandmother Alice! How could you ever...."

A veteran foe of psychic frauds, James Randi, used to appear on TV, especially PBS, to expose the techniques they use that make people believe in them. Carefully-designed tests demonstrate that people whio claim such powers actually are no more "psychic" than my cat. Ooops...how does my cat know I'm just about to get up just BEFORE the alarm goes off?
