Kinda wish they'd just knock it down and put in another Bank of America. We need more of those in the city.

I think a Starbucks or a Dunkin Donuts would be a good fit. I don't know about you, but I'm tired of having to walk half a block before I hit a Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts.
Starbucks is right next to this

Good thing you didn't stand up. You might have been hit in the head as that went flying over you.

Ideally, we would put a cupcake store in there because Boston doesn't have enough cupcake stores [/snark].
Seriously, why not turn it into a publicly accessible greenhouse?
rent

Look at the rent they wanna charge. Doubt they'll make it affordable for a public green house. Too much money to be made on rent to 'give' it away at a free/reduced cost.

How about a Chick-fil-a location now that their archenemies is retiring?
That would be a great question for all the mayoral candidates too. Would you discriminate against controversial companies like Chick-fil-a and Walmart by preventing them from having locations within the city of Boston?
It's not discrimination...

... Walmart failed to even apply. They did they're whole "we're coming to Boston/Watertown/Somerville" shtick, and when the locals (and, yes, Mayor Mumbles) said, "not unless you're gonna be a 'way better corporate citizen than you have been", they let their options lapse.
Chick-Fil-A isn't likely to survive in a high-rent place like Faneuil Hall or Back Bay; they'd have to fill the place lunch-n-dinner year around, not just during tourist season. Route 1 in Saugus/Danvers or Route 9 in Natick/Framingham they might prosper, but not in Boston. There are a lot of chains that don't do well around here; high priced real estate and low margins do not bode well for many national outfits.

That's why you won't see Walmart or Chick-Fil-A in Boston. Plenty of people around to rat them out and ride herd on their hiring/firing/promotion practices and scamming workers out of pay by redefining "on duty", etc.
They know they can't get away with it here.
How's it compare?

$1200 / day is roughly $36,000 / month and $438,000 / year.
How does that compare with other storefront space in Faneuil Hall / Quincy Market?
(I'd use it as a personal residence, but I'm fond of throwing stones.)

I'm sorry, I meant "medical marijuana dispensary". Think about it...it's a greenhouse. Hell, you could call it "The Greenhouse" or "The HotBox". It's a cash crop to pay that exorbitant rent. It's central to nearly every MBTA line (with a short walk to the Red Line). Crime won't be a problem since it's so close to Tourism Central that the city/state will HAVE to patrol there frequently if things were to begin to get out of hand.

Seal it, put a pump and lights and fish in it and the N.E. Aquarium can use it as advertising.

Subdivide it into a dozen 250 sf apartments at $3,100.00/ month. A "comfortable" bargain if you share one with 6-10 roommates. Just make sure to draw the blinds at night.

Yes, micro apartments with NO parking because everyone moving into the City believes you should not own a vehicle.

Obviously Adam has the ads on this site linked to what you're looking at. For this particular news item, the ads that show up in the right-hand column are "Display Cases", "Jewelry Displays", "Glass Display Showcases", and "Peruvian Connection: Fall". I suspect the last was because I'd also looked at the item about Peruvian chicken restaurants.
Nothing about stones, though.
