Should light off fireworks when they open the college of common sense. God knows half the graduates who stay in Boston after graduation has none.

Some time after 10 pm, hellaciously loud gunshot-like noises could be heard in Davis Square (and, from Facebook reports, all over Somerville). We're already on edge here about an uncaught arsonist and didn't really need this.

No warning in Medford, either.
I had a grand view of them from my dining room - with a giant, firmly snuggled Maine Coon cat watching them with me from my lap.
Brought to mind all the panicked tv-addled people who called 911 when they did the fireworks from the middle schools the day after we invaded Iraq.
