Hardee's plans to expand into Massachusetts after first convincing New Yorkers and New Jerseyites they need a new way to stuff their faces. The chain claims:
We’ve heard from residents all across the region for years, begging us to bring our food back to them.

Hardee's makes McDonald's look like L'Espalier.

I mean, they have to want to come here. We could try displaying the Waffle Signal on the sky at night to summon them, but I'm not sure they'd respond ;-)

has zero interest in opening stores north of the Mason Dixon Line. They are strictly a southern chain and want to stay that way.
Waffle House is welcome to stay down south...

I've tried them a few times when I've been down there. Each time barely edible. Won't eat there anymore.

buy Roy Rogers many years ago, when Roy Rogers existed outside of highway rest stops? Would it be a similar concept but rebranded under a more nationally-recognized name?
More like McDonald's, but

More like McDonald's, but without the professionalism and attention to detail.

I remember a Hardee's in Westfield, MA (in the 413, so that's the Midwest to you guys) back in the late 70s-early 80s. So, they should call this a "return" to Massachusetts.
They do, that's why it says

They do, that's why it says "back to them" in the press release.

Hardees of 20 years ago isn't even remotely close to what it is now. Hardees used to be gross and disgusting...
Not saying it's any better, but essentially it's Carls Jr: East Coast Edition now
Menu is identical to Carls Jr. If you like Carls Jr, you'll like Hardees.

I don't know what you think you heard. We can't support a Wendy's in the heart of downtown. Have you heard of Boston Market? Odd, nobody here has. There's two in the entire city of Boston...and not even one in Newtonville where the original one was located. Taco Bell wanted to reopen on a college campus (BU) ...no brainer, right? "No, bummer" was the response when costs for the renovation would have been too costly. Krispy Kreme kame and went.
Trust Admiral Akbar. It's a trap. We already have a Monster. It's green and serves up extra base hits. Serve your artery cloggers to the cholesterol deniers in the Midwest and leave us in peace.
