On Saturday, a disgusted citizen reported trash strewn all about Adams Park right as the farmers' market was opening and demanded to know where the local hokey man was ("hokey" being that trash can on wheels set up the hokey men use as they clean up our shopping districts).
The city responds this morning:
Closed. Case Noted. There is no more weekend hokey ..we cleaned it friday afternoon that the best can do ..u already have been told that a few months ago.
So that's what it's all about.

And I have to call potential shenanigans on "we cleaned it friday afternoon". That cardboard looks like it's been lying around more than the few hours between Friday afternoon and early Saturday morning. Appears to be detritus from the Thursday trash pickup.
Lookie that!

Can we get somebody who speaks English to represent the city? What an embarrassing public servant.

I would have contracted iRobot to build a fleet of municipal Roombas to clean our rubber sidewalks.
