UPDATE: At 9:53 p.m., Joanna Carvalho tweeted her power - and heat - was still out in JP.
NStar is currently estimating 7 p.m. for a fix to power outages in Jamaica Plain, Dorchester and Roslindale, the city reports.
That can't come soon enough for Maura O'Toole in Jamaica Plain:
It's cold and dark being told 7:30 - so power will have been off < 12 hrs! We have been told 930, 1230, 430.

Instead of complaining all day, Maura probably should have went out and and bought a sweatshirt plus a few candles. Suck it up, for christ sakes, you're not the only one.

Hossman617 did you get up on the wrong side of the bed? No need for you to be nasty. No Maura is not the only one, but perhaps she thought the UHubiverse might provide a bit more information on the chronic delays.
As I am not in a snit; I won't criticize you for your poor grammar. Maura should not 'have went out' to get a sweatshirt. Tho' her day may be a bit warmer had she gone out for a sweatshirt. ;)
Maura, as it is 7:30; I hope your power has been restored and you are getting toasty warm! We lost power in Roslindale a couple of times today. I need to double check all the clocks and devices to make certain everything is on the correct time.
...and to all a good night.

Also, the semicolon is inappropriate in her sentence. "As I am not in a snit; I won't criticize you for your poor grammar." Should be a comma.

Stay safe Margaret, welcome to New England. It will all be ok in a few hours and just remember you saved a few cents this month on your electric bill by your state legislators allowing for deregulation of the electric market a few years ago.
