Another day, another power outage, this time in the area near Fallon Field.
Eric Gahan reports his power went out around 2 a.m. and was still out around 4:30 a.m.
Todd Johnson reports:
Back on, off from 2-8 am. Cold morning. A few familes on the street have babies and elderly.
NStar responds:
This morning’s scheduled outage in Rosi/West Rox was necessary to repair underground equipment.
Scheduled? No, sir, Lucy Fitzgerald responds:
Yeah thanks for the notice bub! You say scheduled but we didn't know about it!

I live in this area - in fairness they did send a mailing ahead of time to let folks know about the outage, but they expected power to be back on at 7; it wasn't actually on until almost 8am. I understand that they try to minimize disruption to "life" by doing this at night, but last night was wicked cold, and by the time they got power back on most folks had already left their houses making getting ready for work challenging in the dark.
Longer than that....

Consequence for using too much electricity

People in Roz are simply suffering the consequences for not using more efficient appliances and alternative, human-powered devices and solar/wind/bicycle generator power sources. Its their own damn fault.
If you have not noticed, this is the mindset when it comes to roadway shortages - loonies want people not to drive. So, let's encourage conservation by having inadequate supplies of electricity, natural gas, water, and sewer too!

You do realize that the electric companies, which control the maintenance or lack thereof of the infrastructure, benefit from you using more power, not less, right?
